Stop Snoring

This Article appearing in the Bucks Free Press in 2001 illustrates the terrible problems experienced by snorers and their families. Some regimes use sleep deprivation as an effective torture process, and yet, snoring, a major cause of sleep deprivation to their partner, is the subject of great mirth.

Snorers are quite often in denial, and acceptance of their problem has to preceed help of any sort. There has to be “buy in”  for this process to be effective. The partner cannot frog march them in to see me and have their snorer silenced.

Co-operation has to be the first step. Then, minute detail data gathering is followed by one or more of a range of techniques to install new behaviour during sleep.

Please note that snoring resulting from physical constriction in the nose cannot be helped by this process.
